The Goverment of Spainhas decided to make a bid to encourage scientific conference proeceedings held in this country. The scientific and technological infraestructures are also a tourist attraction.
Attractive image: The scientific meetings are an essential activityt of the scientific community and the seconc most important route of communication between researchers. The first route are the scientific journals. Spain has a very attractive image to researchers worldwide to develop congresses, conferences and scientific Seminarii of all kinds.
Publication of the events online and offline: Turespaña,the website of the Ministry of Science and Innovation to promote tourism in Spain, will include some informatión about scientific meetings or seminars held in Spain. The Institute of Tourism will include information in their bulletins with the conclusion of internation scientific meetings facilitated by the Ministry of Science and Innovation with the aim of which are known to all the professionals.

A heavy sector: 2733 in Spain were held congresses, 6079 conventions and 9625 conferences. The 22.31% were medical health types, in the second place behind economic-commercial sector. In larger cities the medical-health sector holds a 30.68%, the first place. While the commercial sector of the economy meetings generates a 11.93%.
